Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola also heaped praise on Liverpool and stated (Metro):
“Both Barcelona and Liverpool are very good teams, Liverpool are the European champions, they are very strong”
The Spanish manager won two Champions League titles in his first three seasons at the Nou Camp but since then, he has failed to win the Europe’s premier trophy.
In three seasons with Bayern Munich, he never got past the semi-final stage. On the other hand, so far, in three seasons at the Etihad, even after spending a lot on new signings, Pep has failed to take Man City past the last eight.
He has won back to back Premier League titles with the Sky Blues and will be hoping to complete a hat-trick. However, the European champions might have a huge say in the title race next season.
