Report – Liverpool ready to agree terms worth £40million with Klopp
Liverpool got rid of Brendan Rodgers in 2015 and appointed German coach Jurgen Klopp to replace the Northern Irish manager. Now, we are the Champions of Europe.
According to multiple reports going on in the media, the Anfield club are set to reward the 56-year-old manager with a fresh contract (The Guardian).
Transfer Report – Liverpool will attempt to get signing done for less than £53million – Face competition
The Daily Mail have claimed that at the moment, the CL winning manager earns around £7million-a-year (contract expires in 2022) and the Merseysiders are ready to offer him a salary of £10million-a-year.
On the other hand, Spanish source Marca have reported that Liverpool are ready to agree fresh terms that will make Klopp earn £10million-a-year and also extend his stay until 2023. So, the entire worth of the new (four year) deal would be £40million.
Since the arrival of the former Borussia Dortmund boss, the Reds have constantly improved and now, after winning the Champions League, he surely deserves a bumper pay rise.
In his first half campaign with us, we lost the Europa League final and in turn failed to book a place in the Champions League. However, in his first full season, the team bounced back to qualify for the Europe’s elite competition.
Last season, the Reds earned a silver medal in the Champions League. The club again bounced back to win the ultimate prize this term.
Let’s hope that under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, we do bounce back in the next campaign to finally win the Premier League as well.
