Liverpool Beat Bournemouth to Silence their Critics
Following back to back draws, Liverpool got back on track with a workman like 3-0 victory against Bournemouth.
Critics rounded on Liverpool after a home draw against Leicester City was followed up by another draw against West Ham.
However, Liverpool were always in full command this afternoon and the home crowd can be satisfied with what they saw.
The win means Liverpool are now level on points with Manchester City, but they hold a match in hand over Pep Guardiola’s side.
It was Sadio Mane, scoring for a fourth consecutive match, that put Liverpool on their way to victory, finishing well from James Milner’s cross.
Less than 10 minutes later, Georginio Wijnaldum arguably Liverpool’s best player today scored a fine lob to put Liverpool in the ascendancy at 2-0 up.
Mohamed Salah, loves scoring just after half-time and finished off a fine team goal to make the score safe.
In doing so, Salah made it his 17th goal of the season, the joint top scorer in the Premiership with City counterpart Sergio Aguero.
Liverpool are also unbeaten in 34 Premiership matches, a streak they will want to keep up if they are to finally end their wait for the title.
Liverpool now have 10 days until their next match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
They will go away to Spain for a mid-pre-season break away to freshen their minds and prepare for the challenges ahead.
