Suso vs Levante: Liverpool Loanee Scores a Cracker

With Philipe Coutinho sidelined until late October with a shoulder problem, the News Desk is left wondering if we can recall Suso — loaned to La Liga side Almeria in July — until the Brazilian is fit again.

The youngster, who went on to make 19 appearances for the Reds last season after getting his full debut in a Europa League clash against Young Boys, is spending the entirety of the 2013/2014 season on loan at the newly promoted Andalusian side and has been turning heads in Spain with a goal and two assists to his name already.

Almeria have yet to rack up their first win in the league, though they looked on course for it when former Liverpool winger Nabil El-Zhar opened the scoring and Suso added a spectacular second with his shot from distance. We saw glimpses of what the Spaniard is capable of last year as both him and Raheem Sterling played a major role in the first half of the Reds campaign.

Despite the promising signs, playing time was always going to be limited for the 19-year old this season, so a loan move looked to be the best option to make sure the youngster got the maximum amount of playing time available to him. From the looks of it, time on the pitch is serving him well.
