Liverpool can move in with a bid to sign £344,000-a-week star – Report

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Liverpool are linked with French international and PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.

According to El Desmarque, Klopp knows that for the Reds to remain the best team in the world, he needs to sign the best players and the World Cup winning attacker is on his radar.

News – Liverpool looking to sign star with £121million release clause – Face competition

The Spanish news source have claimed that Liverpool can move in with a bid for the Ligue 1 star because they have money to spare after not spending much in the summer transfer window.

Now comes the astonishing part. El Desmarque state that the European Champions can pay 250 million euros for the former Monaco attacker. It must be remembered that currently, the world record transfer is that of Neymar when the Brazilian moved from Barca to PSG for 222 million euros back in 2017.

Furthermore, the outlet have claimed that Mbappe would be given a mammoth contract worth 40 million euros a season i.e. £663,000-a-week. Not to forget, at the moment, the 20-year-old is earning £344,000-a-week (Goal.com).

So, El Desmarque is suggesting that not only can we break the world transfer record to lure the Les Bleus winger, we can also make him the highest paid player at Anfield.

Actually, a salary of £663,000-a-week would not just break the pay structure, it would completely blow things out of proportion because at Liverpool, Egypt international, Mohamed Salah, is currently the best paid player and he (only) earns £200,000-a-week (The Daily Mail).

In the end, the Spanish media source have mentioned that to lure Mbappe, Liverpool would have to sell one of their front three stars and Salah’s name is in the focus. It is stated that Real Madrid are following the African superstar, who does not have a good relationship with Jurgen Klopp.

As far as our front three are concerned, in all fairness, Salah has been the most out of form player this season. Have your say – Would you like Klopp to offload the former Roma man and replace him with Mbappe?
