Newcastle legend predicts the Champions League final

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer (The Metro via The Sun) thinks that Liverpool should be able to edge the Champions League final vs Tottenham Tottenham Hotsour. He claimed:

“I am still tipping Liverpool to edge it but you have to wonder if they will have lost a bit of momentum from having not played for three weeks”

The legendary striker did point out the fact that Klopp has lost six finals in his career and that stat should worry the the German boss. As a Liverpool supporter, it sure does scare me.

We lost the Champions League final against Real Madrid last year and it was really painful. So, to lose back to back CL finals would be devastating for the Anfield faithful.

Nevertheless, on paper, Liverpool should be considered favorites going into the contest against Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Overall, Klopp has got a stronger squad at his disposal as compared to his Argentine counterpart. The Reds did the double over the north Londoners in the Premier League. On the other hand, Liverpool only lost one game and Spurs were defeated on 13 occasions.

For now, we can only hope and pray for the club to bring home their sixth European Cup.
