Ojo Joins Fulham on Loan, Pulisic Brushes Off Fresh Reds Rumours
Courted by a number of sides throughout the summer, Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo has finally decided where he’d like to play next season with Championship side and Premier League hopefuls Fulham the lucky recipients of his services — though the 20-year old is already plotting his triumphant return to Anfield.
It’s been an eventful 18 months for me, with some unfortunate injuries, but also some good achievements,” wrote Ojo on his Instagram account. “I’m going on loan this season to get playing time and further develop as a player. I want to thank all the Liverpool fans for your continued support ?.,” added the Reds attacker before reminding us where his allegiances are with the hash-tags #BeBackSoon and #YNWA to close out the post.
Now, with one heading out, you’d expect another to be coming in but Borussia Dortmund winger and long term Liverpool target Christian Pulisic has shrugged off suggestions that he’s Merseyside bound by doubling down on his commitment to the German outfit. The American, who was at the club when now Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was in charge, has been tipped as a potential replacement for want-away attacker Philippe Coutinho. The Anfield outfit have held firm despite a transfer request from the Little Magician, insisting that he’ll still be at the club come September. That, of course, could push the Catalonians to double down on their efforts to sign another Dortmund player in Ousmane Dembele. The Frenchman has been the subject of a number of bids from the La Liga giants and while he could be on his bike to the Nou Camp in due time, Pulisic isn’t planning on following him out of the Bundesliga.
“Yes, I read that too,” said the 18-year old when asked about Liverpool’s interest by Bild. “What more can I say? I concentrate fully on the start of the season. I’m very happy in Dortmund. To be clear and concise: I do not think about changing clubs. At the beginning of the year I finally extended my contract until 2020,” added Pulisic, staying the course. “Last season, I established myself in Dortmund with a European top club, which was always my dream as a little boy.”
