Reds Boss Wary of Middlesbrough Challenge
Middlesbrough will look to make it three disappointing results on the hop for Liverpool when the Reds visit the Riverside Stadium tomorrow. A loss to AFC Bournemouth and a draw with West Ham United has stunted their title charge and will have the punters checking out the Free Football Betting Tips from FST with the potential for another major upset brewing.
“Unfortunately, they are a very difficult side to play, because they haven’t scored a lot until now but they don’t concede a lot,” said Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to the press at Melwood yesterday. “They are a football-playing side with quite skilled players. We made the opposition analysis this morning and it’s really interesting to see what they are capable of,” continued the German, wary of the threat posed by Aitor Karanka’s side. “It’s an interesting challenge, I would say.”
Coming off the back of a narrow loss to Southampton, ‘Boro won’t be fazed when the Reds roll in to town. They haven’t exactly been lighting up the top flight since returning for the first time in seven years on the back of a successful Championship campaign, but they’ve proven to be a tough nut to crack with the likes of former Barcelona ‘keeper Victor Valdes keeping things tight at the back and Manchester City old boy Alvaro Negredo leading by example up front.
“It’s never easy in the Premier League, but this game of course is not easy,” mused Klopp. “But we don’t care too much; we take their skills, we take their qualities, we take their weaknesses only for analysis and then we have to play our game. If there is something we can use, we try to, that’s all,” continued the German manager. “The players collected a lot of experience in the Championship and then they bring in [more]. I don’t know how often [Victor] Valdes won the Champions League! And all the offensive players, there’s real quality,” added the Liverpool manager. “That’s what you have to respect.”
