Germany Boss Tired of Discussing Mario Gotze’s Future
Echoing the feelings of a vast swath of Liverpool supporters, Germany boss Joachim Low has tired of talking about the future of Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze and has moved to stifle any further discussion until after the European Championships in France next month.
“I am not interested in this talk any more,” said Low, despite initially suggesting a move would be good for the 23-year old, before reversing his position and praising his decision to fight for a place in Bavaria. “This is something that I do not want to be confronted with any more and I will not talk about it again,” stressed the German manager. “It has been a few days now that I am not interested in this issue any more and I am also not interested in who says what.”
While the talk coming out of Gotze’s camp has the attacking midfielder keeping his mind very much on impressing incoming boss Carlo Ancelotti and fighting for a place in the starting eleven, the sentiment isn’t being reciprocated by the Bayern hierarchy with a number of their mouthpieces — including CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge — saying that the 23-year old might want to considering finding himself a new place to call home. A dip in form and a number of injuries following the World Cup in Brazil saw Gotze relegated to a minor role at the Allianz Arena and has prompted speculation that he’ll be out the door as soon as possible.
“Mario Gotze is a player with a lot of abilities. After such an emotional moment (World Cup 2014) it is not unusual for a player to experience a slump,” continued Low, once again talking about the player he said he didn’t want to discuss anymore before attempting to close the books. “All players who have transfer issues should now deal with them after the Euro. Not now.”
Goetze is as controversial as Teixera of Shaktar Donesk.
