Divock Origi Working Hard on Improving His Game

Every day he be hustlin’, hustlin’…

Liverpool may be going through a bit of a green patch up front, but that poor run of form hasn’t leaked through to their players out on loan with Lille striker Divock Origi enjoying a good start to the season in Ligue 1. Although the 19-year old has continued to make waves following a successful World Cup campaign with Belgium, he believes that he can still improve his game before linking with with the Reds on a permanent basis.

“Brendan Rodgers keeps in touch when he can because he’s a busy man. Sometimes he sends me some messages and sometimes people from Liverpool come and visit me in Lille. It’s good to know they are following my progress” said the youngster in a recent interview. “Things are going well but there’s still some room for improvement. I’m still working hard trying to prepare myself for a higher level. I’m feeling good and ready to continue this form.”

Origi, who was immediately loaned back to Lille after moving to Liverpool over the summer, has played an integral role in Rene Girard’s impressive start to the season with four goals in 12-appearances for the Northern French outfit. They currently sit fourth in the league table, seven points off of run away leaders Olympique de Marseille.

Things may not be going quite as well on Merseyside, but the youngster believes that the Reds have the kind of team that can turn that around in a flash. “It’s a new era at Liverpool and everything will go well. They have a fantastic team: [Mario] Balotelli is a great striker, they have Daniel Sturridge and they have Raheem Sterling – one of the best young talents in the world” he continued. “It’s only positive and I don’t think we have to worry about Liverpool.”
