VIDEO: Sturridge Teaches Kids How to Get Their Dance On

I don’t know about you, but I’d be absolutely flabbergasted if Daniel Sturridge showed up at my work and started giving me dance tips. In a surreal bit of video, the Liverpool striker visited Anfield Junior School and met with a number of students — even teaching a few of them his trademark celebration.
Sturridge, who is second in the Premier League scoring race, has 20-goals this season for the Anfield outfit and sits on behind only teammate Luis Suarez in the table. Brought in from Chelsea in what former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson called a “massive gamble”, the 24-year old has repaid the faith Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has show in him with his impressive goal haul. We’ve seen Sturridge bust out his trademark celebration so many times that some fans think they can do it as well — something that has left the striker shaking his head.
“I’m going to give people a tutorial on it,” he recently joked. “A lot of people are really bad at it – and it’s making me look bad. If somebody does a dance you create, and they do it wrong, it makes you look bad. I need to make sure people do it right.” And that’s exactly what he did when he showed up at a local Liverpool primary school.
Some of the reactions from the kids are priceless, and when he has a deep discussion with one young Evertonian, his return to the classroom gets a little more challenging than he probably expected. All in a days work, Danny.
Sturridge lookes like a funny guy to hang around with:-)
That’s really cool. He’s great with the kids. Some of the players look a bit awkward when they do these as I would be too but Daniel seems right at home wherever he is.
