Liverpool Wrap Up Triple Swoop with Victor Moses, Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho Deals Complete

Two signings and another loan
All three of them were at Anfield yesterday to watch Liverpool run out 1-0 winners against arch-rivals Manchester United and today each of them have put pen to paper on deals that will see them play at least their next year of football in the famous Red shirt.

Victor Moses, who has yet to feature under returning Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, has made the move to Merseyside on a season-long loan deal for a fee rumoured to be in the region of £1mil. “First and foremost, I’m delighted to have made the loan from Chelsea to a big club like Liverpool,” said Moses upon arriving at Melwood. The versatile forward scored only one league goal for the London club last season, but enjoyed his greatest form in Europe where he found the net four times as the Blues ran away with the Europa League trophy.

The Reds are also pleased to announce the arrivals of the central defensive pair of Mamadou Sakho from PSG and Tiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon. Sakho — or the Parisian Mountain if you’d prefer — arrives from the mega-rich French side for a fee believed to be £18mil. Earlier this morning Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre talked about how “hard” it was to prise him away from PSG and how he’s “an important marquee signing” for us. Tiago Ilori, a player we’ve been chasing all summer long, makes the switch from Portuguese side Sporting for £7mil and will add to the blend of experience and youth that manager Brendan Rodgers has at his disposal. Whether anyone else will come in before the window closes remains to be seen, but we’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled and our fax machine at the ready.
